and Death Notice Deceased Name: Morris Kapilovich INTERNATIONAL FALLS, ' Morris
Kapilovich, 94, of International Falls, died Friday afternoon, May 26, 2006,
at Falls Memorial Hospital. He was born on Aug. 30, 1911, in
Hibbing, where he grew up and graduated from Hibbing High School in 1929. He
continued his schooling at Hibbing Junior College. He opened a grocery store
in Keewatin. He was united in marriage on Aug. 24, 1940, to Grace Minelli.
After their marriage, they moved to the Falls where he owned and operated
Border Auto Wrecking for 45 years. He spent three years overseas as a cook in
the U.S. Army. He was an active member of the Elks Lodge and Philosophers
Club for many years and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his sister,
Ruth Kapilovich of Hibbing; three grandchildren: Mike Matthews of Lansing,
Mich., John Matthews of Minneapolis, and Jennifer Matthews of Inver Grove
Heights, Minn.; son-in-law, William Matthews of International Falls; and a
nephew, Kenneth Jaffee of Colorado. He was preceded in death by his
parents, Mike and Rose (Lavine) Kapilovich; his wife, Grace (Minelli)
Kapilovich; a daughter, Roslyn Ann Matthews; a brother, Alex Kapilovich; and
sisters, Ann Jaffee and Doris Kapilovich. VIsitation: Will be held from 9
to 10 a.m. Thursday, June 1, 2006, from at the Green-Larsen Funeral Home. Burial: Interment will be at
12:30 p.m. at the Greenwood Cemetery in Virginia. Condolences may be left at

International Falls died Monday, Jan. 17, 2000, in Falls Memorial Hospital. Survivors include her husband,
Morris Kapilovich; grandchildren Mike Matthews, John Matthews and Jennifer
Matthews; and brothers Alexander Minelli and Phillip Minelli. Visitation: 9 a.m. Wednesday
with prayers at 9 a.m. followed by a rosary. There will be no funeral. Burial
will be Wednesday in Maple Hill Cemetery in Hibbing. Arrangements by
